From the end of August to November, selected businesses in the Vinschgau valley and in Merano/Meran and environs invite you to join them on a culinary journey based on seasonal and regional products such as radicchio in one of the Deutschnonsberg villages, grapes in Merano and Alpine pasture cheeses in the Obervinschgau valley.
The local people here know how to make cheese with alpine milk, they know how to prepare the typical bread called "Paarlbrot", how to dry the pears, how to ferment cabbage to juicy , hearty "Sauerkraut", how to bake lovely apple strudel with the apples of the region.
They also know how important their traditions are and how to live in the national park with wild animals, they know how to celebrate "Törggelen" a tradition with roasted chestnuts and new wine.
